Sent into Space
Sent into Space was born in 2010 when Alex Baker and Chris Rose embarked on a project to film the Earth from the edge of space on a shoestring budget. The appeal of the footage was universal reaching around the world, from the New York Times to double page spreads in Ukrainian magazines, live TV and radio appearances to presenting at the Royal Astronomical Society’s national annual meeting. The pair were even awarded a “Global Prize for Creativity” by Nobel Prize winner Sir Harry Kroto. Alex & Chris were inundated with requests for them to conduct launches, for schools, businesses, and research establishments.
Having had such excellent results and enjoyed it so much, they decided to turn their experience into a business. The company has grown rapidly and now encompasses a research arm with ties to multiple universities and the UK Space Agency, a nationally acclaimed educational program, a suite of corporate marketing and publicity services, a range of do-it-yourself kits and a stratospheric memorial service for scattering ashes available in hundreds of funeral homes across the UK and beyond. They also have appeared on Dragon’s Den, impressing the dragons and turning down an offer to invest!
Warm & Fuzzy were involved from the onset. Firstly designing the original logo and branding for the company, then creating the first and now the second iteration of the website, as well as concepts for packaging.
